Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber Of Commerce took a shocking and controversial decision to impose ban on top director SS Rajamouli. They recommended the whole film fraternity not to lend support to Rajamouli for about 6 months period. With the complaint filed by producer Chanti Addala on Rajamouli, Film Chamber delivered this decision.
The complaint reads that, Chanti Addala paid Rs.5 lakh(Rs.20 lakhs total pay) as advance to the director in September 2002. Due to some reasons, Rajamouli was not able to work with Chanti Addala. So, Chanti Addala demanded for the amount with an interest and Rajamouli declined to do so. Then, Chanti Addala aproached the Film Chamber and it decided that Rajamouli should pay Rs.25 lakhs with 36% interest per annum . This decision by Film Chamber created ripples in the Telugu film industry.
Rajamouli is planning to give a strong reply along with the support of director's association. He will announce his action plan in two days.
