Dil Raju bags rights of Evaraina Epudaina
'Golden Hand' Dil Raju bagged the Nizam exhibition rights of Varun Sandesh's upcoming film 'Evaraina Epudaina'. After watching the film specially screened for him, Raju took this decision. Marthand Venkatesh is debuting as director with this film. Vimala Raman plays the love interest of Varun. Prestigious AVM banner is producing this romantic flick. The audio of the film is slated to release on June 1st. Movie will be released by the end of June.

Priya Mani Refused To Work With Mahesh Babu’s Varudu
Controversies never seem to stop chasing Priya Mani , but the National Award-winning actress isn’t perturbed by them . First, there was the report that she would be on the cover of a men’s magazine after she sported a bikini in the Telugu flick, Drona. “Yes, I’ve heard the news, but the magazine never approached me. I’ve previously been on the cover of many regional magazines and it’s always a pleasure to do exclusive shoots,” she says.
There was also another bit of news doing the rounds about the actress being paid Rs 20 lakh, in addition to her remuneration, for her Drona bikini act. But since the film didn’t do well, the producer didn’t honour the payment. “It’s all false. I’ve received the amount that was promised to me. Initially, the producer was hesitant because Drona didn’t fare as expected, but he later settled the dues. I appreciate his professionalism,” she says.
It was also said that she would soon be part of Mahesh Babu’sforthcoming Varudu. In fact, it was even reported that the two had done a photoshoot together. “First of all, I’ve never done a two-heroine project, which is what Varudu is expected to be. Secondly, I’ve never seen or met Mahesh Babu. So where’s the question of me even doing a photoshoot with him?” she laughs adding, “If it’s a lead role, I wouldn’t mind working with him.”
But Priya is working on a Telugu film - with actor Jagapathi Babu and director Madan. “It’s the same team that I worked with on Pellaina Kothalo. We’ll start shooting from June 14,” she tells us.
And what about rumours linking her with actor Prithviraj? “We’re just good friends because our mothers were collegemates, and we’ve stayed friends till today. But the rumours of Prithviraj being engaged aren’t true,” she clarifies. Andhra Studio.As she’s gearing up for her next schedule of Raavan, the actress is thrilled that she got the opportunity to interact with Abhishek Bachchan, who’s her co-star in the film. “He’s a cool guy and completely down-to-earth. Though he kept to himself for the most part, when I fell sick on the sets, he was concerned and kept asking me if I was feeling ok,” she says.
And now that she’s made her Sandalwood debut, Priya is excited that she’s sharing screen space with Puneet Rajkumar in Ram. “We’re shooting at a brisk pace. We are doing three scenes a day and KK sir is very good with the camera. And, of course, Puneet is a fabulous co-star,” she says.

Shriya has to kiss Vikram 17 times
At the recent audio launch of Kandasamy, the trailer of the movie was screened with the kissing scene featuring lead actors Shriya and Vikram. According to sources in the industry, when the scene was being shot with the two stars at MRC Nagar in the city, Shriya took 17 takes to get it right, before the director was finally satisfied.
Towards the end, the frustrated actress walked off the sets claiming she hadn’t been informed about this scene beforehand, and didn’t want to do any more of it. A lot of coaxing and persuasion by director Susi Ganesan and co-star Vikram, was required before Shriya returned to the shoot

Shilpa, Katrina to perform at IPL finale
Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty will join American R&B sensation Akon as he sings his Grammy award winning Smack That at the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wanderers here Sunday night.
Organisers also said on Wednesday that Katrina Kaif will join a troupe of Indian and South African dancers led by award-winning choreographer Shiamak Davar to perform the Oscar-winning A R Rahman song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire.
The two actors will be the only ones performing at the finale, ending widespread speculation that a bevy of Bollywood beauties would feature at the closing ceremony.
Caribbean music legend Eddy Grant will perform the ever popular Walking on Sunshine and his anti-apartheid hit Gimme Hope Jo’anna, which became an anthem in the days when the white minority government of South Africa strictly regulated everything from music and song to social gatherings.
The five-week IPL will end on a high note for Shilpa performance-wise, but this will be clouded by the fact that her Rajasthan Royals team have no hope of retaining their champion status from the inaugural series last year.
Other highlights on the night will include a perfectly synchronised piece featuring renowned percussionist Shivamani and a group of Indian and South African drummers.
Apart from the various musical acts, the crowd will also be introduced to the Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa finalists, culminating with the crowning of the winner of the beauty competition, who will get a guided tour through Bollywood as one of her prizes.
This apart, 1,500 flying lanterns will be lit and released while a thrilling pyrotechnics show using several thousand rounds of fireworks will light up the Johannesburg skyline as final awards signal the end of an unprecedented cricket event which was keenly taken up by locals, who also opened their hearts to the thousands of Indians who came to watch the series.[NDTV]
Jr NTR to start work tomorrow

Film actor and Telugu Desam star campaigner Junior NTR will be back for shooting from Friday.
The actor, who turned 27 on Wednesday, had to cancel all film shoots following a car accident near Suryapet in Nalgonda on March 27 while returning from an election campaign.
Sources close to the actor said Junior NTR is physically fit for film shoots, he may not perform dances for another two weeks on medical advice.
Junior NTR will first shoot for V.V. Vinayak’s untitled film which was stopped due to his accident.
“There are three films on the floor at present including a film titled MLA directed by Puri Jagannath,” said an aide.
Anushka in Surya’s 25th film
Singham will be Suriya’s 25 th film in Kollywood. He’s going to be donning khaki again, bringing back memories of the popular police drama Khakka Khakka, which romantics fondly recall, strengthened his feelings for Jyothika. Kavya’s Diary Releasing On June 5th
Kavya’s Diary, director Karuna Prakash’s latest film starring Charmi, Manjula and Shashank in the lead roles, is all set to grace theatres on June 5. The movie was put on hold due to IPL matches and the recently-concluded elections.
Produced by Manjula’s husband Sanjay Swarup under his Indira Productions banner, Kavya’s Diary revolves around a close-knit family with small children. There will some suspense that makes this film a thriller.
According to sources, Charmi will display her dark side in Kavya’s Diary, which she claims is her "maiden role with negative shades". "I am doing something different and hope the audience doesn’t hate me," the actress said while talking about her role.
Manu Ramesan has composed the music. Shyam Datt is the cinematographer. This is the second time that Manjula, Charmi and Shashank come together for a movie; the first time was in Anukokunda Oka Roju.
